Alcoholism

The topic that I found I should talk about was on Alcoholism, which is the habitual use of alcohol despite medical and social harmAlcohol travels through your bloodstream and damages your brain, stomach, liver, kidneys and muscles. As a teenager, your body is still developing, so damage done to it now will affect the rest of your life. Over time, drinking destroys your body and your looks, so all that work you've done to look good, keep strong and stay fit goes down the drain fast. In large amounts, alcohol can cause health problems, impairs judgement, and ruin lives. The path of alcohol in the body is the mouth, stomach, small intestine, heart, brain and the liver. Alcohol is rapidly absorbed into the bloodstream from the small intestine, and less rapidly from the stomach and colon.
This is a serious matter to me. Alcoholism has been a part of my family since I can remember. My father and uncle have both been to rehab because of alcoholism. At one point I felt i was on the path to alcoholism, but certain events happened in my life that made me change my ways. I know longer drink because I do not want to end up in the same shoes as my father and my uncle. Even though they are both doing much better in their lives, I do not want to go the same path they went through. The following video shows true stories of alcohol.
